my sister and i did a mini cosplay shoot last year. when i say 'mini', i mean head shots done in less than five minutes. no make up, just us and our costumes.
Chiaki is officially the very first character i'll be fully cosplaying. it's in the future tense since i haven't really finished making the entire costume. gotta make the staff and bag.
almost every part of the costume is handmade. i learned basic knitting for the scarf. i had to redo the pattern for the hat a couple of times before i got it right and had to carve the symbol from foam. the gloves i bought from the store had to be re-stitched so that it'll fit perfectly to my oh-so-small fingers.
when we got the wig, it was a couple of shades darker than Chiaki's so we were a bit worried. but i think it's quite passable in pictures. hehe
i'm looking forward to the day i actually finish this project. i made three skirts just to get the right effect. my sister's thinking that we should just have the double-breasted blazer tailored.
